MOST TIMES, HATRED IS AN ASSET

THE STORY: REJECTED, YET CHOSEN

There is a strange mystery in the way destiny unfolds. Sometimes, the very force that tries to push a man out becomes the pressure that pushes him forward.

The story of Jephthah captures this truth.

Jephthah was rejected by his own brothers because of his background. They drove him out and denied him inheritance.

“Then Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.
And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.”
Judges 11:1–2 KJV

What was meant to reduce him became the making of him.

In exile, he developed strength. Later, the same people who rejected him returned to seek his help.

The one they hated became their leader.

Hatred, when properly handled, can become an asset.

THE PARALLEL OF THE SNAKE: HATED, YET PERFECTLY DESIGNED

Consider the nature of the snake.

It is one of the most hated creatures on earth. Its appearance unsettles people. Its movement is silent and unpredictable. Its venom can be deadly. It is avoided, feared, and often destroyed on sight.

Yet, everything about the snake’s nature is what makes it powerful.

It moves without noise giving it the advantage of surprise
It strikes with precision not wasting energy
It survives in harsh environments adaptable and resilient
It sheds its skin constantly renewing itself

The very traits that make it feared are the traits that ensure its survival.

The snake does not apologize for its nature.

It does not try to be liked.

It functions in alignment with its design.

And that is its greatness.

Just like the snake, some individuals are misunderstood not because they are wrong, but because they are different, strategic, or uncommon.

Their silence is mistaken for pride.
Their precision is mistaken for coldness.
Their independence is mistaken for rebellion.

But in reality, their nature gives them an advantage.

Hatred often surrounds what people do not understand.

WHEN PRESSURE REVEALS IDENTITY

Hatred is not just an emotion directed at a person, it is a force that creates tension. And tension has a way of revealing what a person is made of.

A life without resistance may remain undefined.

But a life that faces rejection is forced into self discovery.

Hatred separates a man from the crowd. It removes false affirmations and forces a deeper question:

Who are you when no one accepts you?

In that question lies the seed of greatness.

Many only discover their true identity when applause disappears. When validation fades, authenticity begins.

Hatred becomes a refining fire. It burns away illusions and exposes essence.

Just like Jephthah, what was meant to exclude him actually clarified him.

TURNING HATRED INTO STRENGTH

The mistake many make is trying to eliminate hatred instead of converting it.

Hatred is energy, and energy can be redirected.

It can become bitterness or discipline
It can become insecurity or self mastery
It can become weakness or wisdom

Jephthah did not chase acceptance, he built capacity.

Greatness is not found in being loved by all. It is found in becoming who you are meant to be, regardless of how you are perceived.

Sometimes, the very environment that rejects you is the one that releases you into your highest potential.

CLOSING THOUGHT

What looks like hatred may be the training ground for your future. Measure your life by growth, not acceptance.

Like the snake, what makes you misunderstood may be what gives you advantage. Do not dilute your nature to gain approval.

Hatred is not the end of your story. When handled with wisdom, it becomes the force that pushes you into destiny.

Sometimes, the greatest tragedy is not being hated.

It is being loved in a place that limits who you can become.
