God’s love is not always permissive.
Sometimes love opens the door.
Sometimes love asks you to wait.
And sometimes love closes the door before you discover what was waiting behind it.
We often think that if God loves us, He must give us everything we desire. But divine love is wiser than human desire.
Sometimes God says NO because He sees what you cannot see.
Sometimes He removes a person because He knows what the relationship would eventually become.
Sometimes He delays an opportunity because you are not yet ready for what you are asking for.
Sometimes He closes a road because He knows that the road does not lead to your destiny.
An African proverb says:
THE EYE THAT SEES FAR DOES NOT WALK INTO EVERY OPEN DOOR.
There are doors that look like opportunities but are actually distractions.
There are delays that look like disappointments but are actually divine protection.
There are endings that feel like losses but become the beginning of a better chapter.
PROVERBS 3:11-12 KJV
“My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth.”
Therefore, do not curse every closed door.
Some doors close because God is protecting what He is building in you.
Learn to trust God when you understand Him, and even more when you do not.
He sees the road beyond your sight.
He knows the chapter beyond your page.
And sometimes, His greatest act of love is not giving you what you asked for, but keeping you from what would have destroyed you.
AUTHOR’S THOUGHT
A closed door is not always the end of a journey.
Sometimes it is heaven’s way of changing your direction without destroying your destination.
