Human judgment is provisional, but divine purpose is permanent.
People can look at your present condition and conclude what your future will become. They can judge you by your mistakes, your background, your failures, your appearance, your current position, or the season you are passing through.
But human beings see moments. God sees the whole journey.
What people call your limitation may only be a chapter in your story. What they call your failure may become the very experience that prepares you for your assignment. What they reject today may be what God is preparing to use tomorrow.
Joseph was judged by his brothers as someone whose dreams deserved to be silenced. They threw him into a pit, sold him into slavery, and thought they had successfully determined his future.
But they were wrong.
Their judgment was temporary. God’s purpose was permanent.
Joseph eventually stood before Pharaoh, and the same person who had been rejected by his brothers became a ruler in Egypt.
The pit did not cancel the purpose.
The prison did not cancel the purpose.
The betrayal did not cancel the purpose.
The delay did not cancel the purpose.
What God had designed for Joseph was greater than what people had decided about him.
THE STORY OF IFEANYI CHUKWU AND IMPORTANT EXAMINATION
There was once a young man named Ifeanyi Chukwu meaning nothing is impossible with God, who failed an important examination. His friends mocked him, and some people in his community concluded that he would never amount to much.
Ifeanyi Chukwu carried those words for years.
One day, an elderly teacher noticed his ability to explain difficult subjects to struggling students. Instead of judging him by his academic failure, the teacher recognized a gift hidden beneath the disappointment.
He encouraged Ifeanyi Chukwu to develop it.
Years later, Ifeanyi Chukwu became a respected teacher who helped hundreds of students succeed.
The people who judged him had seen one examination.
The teacher had seen a possibility.
But even the teacher could not see the full extent of what God could do with his life.
This is why you must be careful about allowing human opinions to become permanent sentences over your life.
People can misunderstand you.
People can underestimate you.
People can reject you.
People can even remember your past long after you have changed.
But none of these things has the authority to rewrite God’s purpose.
Isaiah 55:8 says,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
Sometimes God allows a season in which human judgment appears to prevail, not because His purpose has failed, but because He is working beyond what human eyes can see.
Do not allow someone’s temporary opinion to become your permanent identity.
Do not allow one failure to define your entire life.
Do not allow one rejection to convince you that you are rejected by God.
Do not allow where you are today to make you forget where God may be taking you.
Human beings judge the visible.
God works with the invisible.
Human beings evaluate the present.
God is preparing the future.
Human judgment can change tomorrow because it is based on limited knowledge. Divine purpose does not change because it is founded on God’s wisdom.
LESSONS FROM THE STORY
Never confuse people’s conclusions with God’s conclusion about your life.
A person’s opinion may describe what they see, but it cannot always describe what God is building.
Your present season is not necessarily your final destination.
The pit may be real, the prison may be painful, and the delay may be frustrating, but none of them has the power to cancel what God has purposed.
Let your confidence rest more in God’s purpose than in human approval.
People may change their opinion about you tomorrow, but God does not need their permission to fulfil His purpose.
Sometimes the greatest mistake we make is allowing people who saw our yesterday to determine what we believe about our tomorrow.
Remember Joseph.
Those who sold him could not stop him.
Those who imprisoned him could not destroy him.
Those who underestimated him could not prevent God’s purpose.
What God has ordained for your life does not become impossible simply because someone failed to recognize it.
Human judgment is provisional.
But divine purpose is permanent.
