NOTHING IS TRULY LOST WHEN IT IS SURRENDERED TO GOD

“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 10:39 (KJV)

THE PRINCIPLE OF KINGDOM LOSS:

In the kingdom of God, loss is not always loss. What is yielded to Him is not destroyed, it is transformed. What leaves your hand in surrender often returns with greater purpose.

THE MYSTERY OF SURRENDER:

There is a mystery in surrender. It may feel like loss, yet nothing given to God disappears. It changes form and meaning. Many hold tightly out of fear, but not everything that leaves your hand leaves your life. Some things must leave your control to enter their true purpose.

THE SEED PRINCIPLE:

A seed kept remains a seed, but when released into the soil, it seems lost. In that hidden place, it multiplies. So it is with surrender. What is entrusted to God does not remain ordinary.

THE ANCIENT STORY OF FAITH:

There was an ancient story told among early believers of a man who lived in a time of great uncertainty. He had inherited a small piece of land from his father. It was not much, but it was all he had. The land had fed him, sustained him, and gave him identity.

One year, a severe drought came upon the region. Crops failed, rivers dried, and many began to despair. The man worked tirelessly, trying to preserve what remained. But no matter how much effort he applied, the land would not respond.

In his desperation, he sought counsel from a wise elder known for his deep faith.

The elder listened quietly and then said, “Give the land to God.”

The man was troubled. “How can I give what I need to survive?” he asked.

The elder replied, “What you hold in fear will shrink. What you release in faith will grow.”

After many days of inner struggle, the man made a decision. He went to the land, stood upon it, and in prayer, surrendered it to God. He acknowledged that it was never truly his, and he released his hold over it.

Then he did something unexpected. Instead of trying to control the outcome, he rested.

Weeks passed. Then, slowly, the rains returned. The soil softened. New life began to emerge. But what surprised him most was not just the return of growth, but the change within himself.

He was no longer anxious.

He was no longer driven by fear.

The land produced again, but this time, it was no longer his source, it was a gift.

Through surrender, he had not lost the land. He had found freedom.

THE FREEDOM IN SURRENDER:

Surrender removes burden. It releases fear and false ownership. What is placed in God’s hands is preserved, refined, or redirected. Sometimes it returns restored, sometimes differently, and sometimes something greater takes its place. But nothing is wasted.

THE CALL TO TRUST:

When life calls for surrender, do not call it loss. It may be a doorway into something higher. To live this way is to trust beyond sight. There is peace when striving ends and trust begins. In surrender, the soul finds rest, and clarity follows.

CLOSING THOUGHT :

  • What you surrender in faith will never be wasted in God’s hands.
  • Release does not empty your life; it creates space for what is greater.
  • Trust God with what you place in His care, for He restores, reshapes, and renews.
