PART TWO

ONU-MGBA-GOO AND NMERE-UWA-GINI

THOSE WHO SOW DECEIT RARELY ESCAPE THE RETURNS OF THEIR ACTIONS

THE SEASON OF WAITING

WHEN THE SEED BEGINS TO GROW

Years passed.

Onu-mgba-goo eventually married a successful businessman named Chukwuemeka.

From the outside, their marriage looked prosperous. They had a beautiful home, successful children, and a respected social reputation.

But beneath the appearance, something was quietly growing.

The character formed during Onu-mgba-goo’s youthful years had followed her into adulthood.

She sometimes manipulated situations, shifted blame, exaggerated facts, and told only the part of a story that made her appear innocent.

For years, Chukwuemeka believed her.

Until one day, he discovered that she had deliberately hidden an important truth from him.

He confronted her.

She explained herself, but something had changed.

Trust had been wounded.

After that, whenever Onu-mgba-goo spoke, questions followed.

“Are you sure?”

“Did you tell me everything?”

“Is that exactly what happened?”

The woman who had once used deception to make others doubt someone else was now living in a world where people doubted her.

THE HARVEST ENTERS THE HOME

As the years passed, her husband became distant, and even her children became cautious about her words.

One day, one of them asked:

“Mummy, are you sure that is what happened?”

The question pierced her.

She suddenly realized that the suspicion she had planted in other people’s hearts had entered her own home.

Trust is like a clay pot. It takes time to form, but one careless blow can crack it.

THE OLD WOMAN’S WARNING

One evening, Onu-mgba-goo complained to an elderly relative:

“Why does nobody believe me anymore?”

The old woman looked at her and replied:

“When a person spends many years teaching others that their words cannot be trusted, one day even their truth will need witnesses.”

Onu-mgba-goo became silent.

That night, she could not sleep.

Then the face of Nmere-uwa-gini returned to her memory.

She remembered the accusation.

The tears.

The whispers.

The school gate.

And the fact that she had known the accusation was false.

For years, she had buried the memory.

But buried things do not always disappear.

Sometimes they wait for their season.

THE HARVEST HAD NOT DISAPPEARED

Onu-mgba-goo finally understood:

The harvest had not disappeared.

It had only changed seasons.

She had planted deceit.

Now suspicion was growing.

She had planted manipulation.

Now mistrust was growing.

She had wounded another person’s reputation.

Now her own words were being questioned.

As Scripture declares:

“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Galatians 6:7 KJV

BUT THE STORY WAS NOT OVER

One morning, while Onu-mgba-goo was preparing for the day, her phone rang.

She answered.

Then her face suddenly changed.

The voice on the other end mentioned a name she had not heard for many years.

“Nmere-uwa-gini.”

She became speechless.

The past she thought she had buried had just knocked on the door of her present.

But this time, it was carrying something she could not easily silence:

A truth.

A witness.

And a question.

What really happened that day?

The next episode will reveal what happened to Nmere-uwa-gini after the false accusation, where life took her, and why her return would become the moment Onu-mgba-goo could no longer hide from the harvest of her past.

TO BE CONTINUED.
