But the myth says that the dragon could not be defeated by force.
Its scales were harder than iron.
Its fire consumed armies.
Its wings stirred storms.
One day, a young monk climbed the sacred mountain where the dragon dwelt. Unlike the warriors before him, he carried no weapon.
The dragon laughed and said, “How will you fight me without a sword?”
The monk replied, “The sharpest blade is truth spoken without fear.”
Then he began to speak.
He confessed the light greater than darkness.
He declared courage over fear.
He proclaimed harmony over chaos.
With every word, the dragon weakened, not because it was wounded in body, but because its power fed on fear, and fear had found no place in the monk.
