«”See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV)»
THE SILENT VOICE THAT NEVER STOPS SPEAKING
Among all the treasures God has given to humanity, none is distributed more equally than time. The rich and the poor receive the same twenty-four hours each day.
Time is the great equalizer, yet it is also the great divider.
What separates one life from another is often not opportunity or talent, but how each person uses the gift of time.
Every morning, time places twenty-four golden coins into our hands. It quietly whispers:
“Use me well now, for I will not return tomorrow.”
An African proverb says, “The sun does not wait for the lazy farmer.”
Time never pauses. It never negotiates. It never returns.
Every tick of the clock reminds us that life is moving steadily toward eternity.
THE MYSTERY OF YOUTH AND THE ILLUSION OF ENDLESS DAYS
One of the greatest deceptions of youth is the belief that tomorrow will always be available.
Many postpone discipline, learning, prayer, growth, and responsibility because they assume there will always be another opportunity.
Yet time has no obligation to fulfill human assumptions.
The greatest thief of destiny is often not wickedness but procrastination.
Every season has an assignment.
Childhood has its lessons.
Youth has its preparation.
Adulthood has its responsibilities.
Old age has its reflections.
Those who neglect the assignment of one season often carry unnecessary burdens into the next.
THE STORY OF OGE-KA-DI (“THERE IS STILL TIME”)
There once lived a young man named David.
David was intelligent, gifted, energetic, and full of promise.
His teachers encouraged him.
His parents advised him.
His friends admired his natural abilities.
But David possessed a dangerous habit.
He believed there would always be time later.
When others studied, he entertained himself.
When others built skills, he wasted hours in distractions.
When others invested in character, he pursued pleasure.
When others sought God, he postponed spiritual matters.
Years passed.
His youth disappeared quietly.
The opportunities that once stood before him began disappearing one after another.
Friends who once walked beside him became accomplished professionals, business owners, ministers, and community leaders.
David remained where he had always been.
Soon old age arrived.
His hair turned gray.
His strength diminished.
His body could no longer do what it once could.
One evening he sat alone outside his house watching the sunset.
As darkness slowly covered the sky, tears filled his eyes.
He whispered to himself:
“I thought I had more time.”
The pain was not that he lacked potential.
The pain was that he neglected opportunity.
The sorrow was not that life denied him success.
The sorrow was that he wasted the years designed to prepare him for success.
The clock continued ticking.
But the seasons he had wasted would never return.
THE ETERNAL VALUE OF TIME
Time is more than a measurement.
Time is a stewardship.
Every day is a divine investment.
Every hour is a heavenly opportunity.
Every moment carries eternal significance.
The greatest question is not how long a person lives.
The greatest question is how well that person uses the life entrusted to him.
One day every clock will stop.
Every calendar will close.
Every earthly opportunity will end.
Only what was done for God will remain.
MORAL LESSONS
- EVERY SEASON HAS A PURPOSE
The opportunities assigned to youth cannot always be recovered in old age. Use each season wisely.
- WHAT YOU DELAY TODAY MAY BECOME YOUR REGRET TOMORROW
Procrastination silently steals destiny. Act while the opportunity remains.
- TIME IS TEMPORARY, BUT ITS CONSEQUENCES ARE ETERNAL
Invest your time in God, character, purpose, and things that will outlive this present world.
«”So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12 (KJV)»
May we hear the whisper of time while there is still time to listen, and may we use today’s opportunities before they become tomorrow’s regrets. Amen.
