A DEEP THOUGHT
The most dreadful event awaiting an unprepared world is not war, famine, or death, but the sudden return of Christ for His Church. In that moment, every excuse for rejecting salvation will perish, and eternity will begin without another opportunity to repent. The Rapture will forever separate those who trusted Christ from those who delayed until it was too late.
THE SUDDENNESS OF THE RAPTURE
The Rapture will happen without another invitation, without another altar call, and without another warning. It will arrive with divine suddenness. Those who mocked holiness will search desperately for those they once ridiculed, only to discover that the faithful have disappeared forever.
THE WORLD PLUNGED INTO TERROR
Imagine the terror. A mother reaches into her baby’s crib only to find it empty because the child belonged to Christ. A husband wakes to discover his believing wife has vanished. A pastor who preached eloquent sermons without genuine repentance stands before an empty congregation, realizing he entertained people but never prepared them for eternity.
Hospitals will descend into confusion. Airplanes may lose Christian pilots. Vehicles may continue without Christian drivers. Schools, offices, marketplaces, and homes will echo with cries of panic. Phones will ring unanswered. Families will search in vain. Tears will replace laughter. Confidence will become horror.
WHEN THE WORLD SEEKS ANSWERS
The world will search for scientific explanations, political conspiracies, and technological theories, but no explanation will erase one terrifying reality: Jesus has come for His Church exactly as He promised.
Those left behind will remember every sermon they ignored, every Scripture they dismissed, every invitation they rejected, and every godly person they mocked. Memory itself will become a tormentor.
A STORY
Many years ago, an elderly watchman guarded a village situated beside a river that flooded without warning. Every evening he climbed a tall wooden tower to watch the water level. Whenever danger approached, he beat a large drum so everyone could flee to higher ground.
Most villagers respected the warning and escaped whenever the drum sounded.
But one wealthy merchant mocked the old watchman.
“The river has never reached my house,” he boasted. “Your warnings are only meant to frighten weak people.”
One night the old watchman saw the river rising faster than ever before. He struck the drum with all his strength. Families gathered their children and fled immediately.
The merchant laughed.
“I will leave tomorrow,” he said.
Before dawn, the river burst its banks. The flood swallowed his house before he could escape.
When rescuers finally reached the ruins, they found only broken walls and scattered possessions. His wealth remained, but he was gone.
So it shall be with many when Christ comes. The gospel has sounded like the watchman’s drum for generations. Every sermon is another warning. Every Scripture is another call. Every conviction of the Holy Spirit is another opportunity to run to safety.
But those who continue saying, “Tomorrow I will repent,” may discover that tomorrow never came.
THE TRAGEDY OF A MISSED OPPORTUNITY
The tragedy of the Rapture is not that God failed to warn humanity. The tragedy is that humanity ignored God’s warnings.
No wealth will purchase another chance.
No education will explain away eternity.
No religion without genuine faith will rescue anyone.
No popularity will persuade Christ to rewrite His Word.
The books, buildings, titles, achievements, and earthly applause that once seemed so important will suddenly become worthless before the King of kings.
The door of grace that stood open for centuries will close.
Just as the door of Noah’s ark was shut by God Himself, so the season of mercy will one day end.
Then the dreadful days of tribulation will begin, and the world will understand too late that the greatest event it dismissed has become the greatest reality it cannot escape.
THE URGENCY OF TODAY
Today Christ still calls.
Today mercy still speaks.
Today forgiveness is freely offered.
But Scripture repeatedly reminds us that no one knows the hour.
The wise prepare before the trumpet sounds.
The foolish promise themselves another day.
